Created in 1995 on the estate of Florennes’air base (try not to get distracted by the F16 fight- ers up there in the air !), between Dinant and Philippeville, this 9-hole course is ideal for be- ginners. Advanced players can certainly play their handicap here but it’s no walkover either ! Funny to play with its varied layout, this course even features an almost 500 m par 5 that long hitters will definitely enjoy. But even for them reaching the green in regulation won’t be too easy ! Hole 3 (a 321m par 4) is a difficult dog- leg left where you’ll have to get the ball cleanly up in the air in order to reach the green as it is completely surrounded by water ! As it is set on an operational military base, you’ll have to show your identity and federal cards at the entry ! Booking your green-fee by phone a day earlier will make you access to the course a great deal easier. Once there, don’t forget to pay a visit to the Air Force museum next door…
