The Freiburg golf course is a quite demanding course that demands tactical and varied play, particularly due to the numerous natural waterways that cross or touch the fairways, rather than the length of the fairways. It has a park-like feel, with many trees, some of them centuries old, which are designated as natural monuments. In case of doubt, these are always the things that stand in the way of a long, straight shot. Varied planting along the edges of the fairways and smaller meadows in between, which bloom beautifully in summer, combine pleasantly with the view of the foothills of the surrounding Black Forest, which border the Dreisam valley basin. The golf course is surrounded by agricultural land. Numerous animal species live here and on our course. Many anecdotes about thieving crows, amorous ducks, a family of foxes, and others circulate.
